Hi All,
Sorry we are such deadbeats about updating our blog. Life has been pretty rough since Noah's surgery, and it has been hard to even want to post. Anyhow, here are some updates.
Noah has regularly been pulling off his colostomy bag. With all that we have going on with them otherwise (behaviors we won't get into), we decided we just cannot prolong this stage of our lives. It had been the plan to leave him on his colostomy bag until his urinary surgery (or surgeries) were completed. That is not essential, though, and we are taking him off his colostomy NOW. He has his surgery this Monday (9/22) and will be hospitalized for about a week. Prayers (and help) would be appreciated. We are putting off his urinary stuff indefinitely, perhaps for years.
Zoë still has her casts on. They were supposed to come off at six weeks after the surgery (mid August). The bones weren't healed enough, so the doctor said he'd check again three weeks later. That was a couple weeks ago. Her bones still weren't healed enough. We will be checking again in a couple more weeks (13-14 weeks total?). Discouraging, but an end is in sight. Unfortunately, she seems to be getting more and more disheartened at the prolonging of getting her new legs, and has acted out in some very bad ways.
Bye for now.
In Christ,
Josh (and Tara)

Josh, Thanks for posting the blog. I hope that those, who live near you, will step forward to volunteer. You have my prayers. Love, Mom
