Post-surgery Update

Hi again,
Sorry for the delay. Dr. Buckley came out and told us about the surgery. It went very well. He even showed us photos of her "fixed" legs before the casts went on. Shortly after that, I was allowed to go in and see Zoë. Unfortunately, she had woken up before they let me in, was in a lot of pain, and they gave her morphine which knocked her out. I hung around till she woke up. She then ate and drank a little before they moved her to her hospital room, where we are now.

So, it seems like things went pretty well. Thank God, and thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for her and us, as we don't yet know how we're going to do simple things like go potty. It seems like moving her in her casts is pretty painful for her.

Bye for now,
Josh

i am so thankful zoey's surgery was a success, i pray she doesn't suffer for long and has a speeding recovery! our son wanted to if zoey "was fast yet?!!?"... meaning, did she have her new legs. i told him not yet, but soon! look below for a bit more about the sprinter who will know be able to participate in the olympics... he better watch out, zoey might be faster then him someday!

thank you for posting the updates!!
warmest regards,

rachel
