Okay, another update. They are just starting to put the casts on now. The nurse/assistant thought the doctor was about to do that when we got our last update, but she was mistaken. The doctor decided something needed to be straightened or improved, and it took some time to accomplish that. We agreed it is best to take the time now and do everything right. Anyhow, they said it would be another 30-45 minutes to complete the casts. The next update we'll get will be from the doctor himself. He'll come out here once they move Zoë into Recovery and he sees that she's doing okay. Hopefully we can give an update in an hour or so...

so happy to read that here surgery is going well!!!
thank you for posting! i'm not sure if anyone told you how children sometimes react to to anesthesia... our son was transformed in "the hulk" when he came out of his tonsilectomy, yikes!! he was fine after about 40 minutes. hopefully sweet zoe won't feel the effects quite as much.
don't forget to eat while you are waiting and take care of yourselves!
